Tokasa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to start her own kava business.

Tokasa's story

Tokasa lives in the village of Lawai, one of the very few villages in Fiji that still practice traditional pottery. Whilst many villagers earn incomes through sales and teaching of pottery to tourists who visit the village regularly, Tokasa hopes to venture into a different business. She hopes to start her own kava business, because she knows that the traditional kava drink will be prepared during every kava ceremony which takes place every time there is a tourist group in the village. Kava is prepared from the dried roots of piper methysticum which is pounded and placed in a muslin and squeezed in a basin of water. Your loan will help improve the quality of living for four wonderful children by helping their mother.
