Mujeres Unidas Group's story

Mujeres Unidas [United Women] is a group formed by six members. They are considered to be very united, and they are committed to getting ahead. This is their first loan cycle, and they are considered to be responsible people. In the photograph are the president, Keyla, the treasurer, and the secretary. These three represent the group. Because of the pandemic, only the board of directors meets, and at a distance.

Keyla is 31 years old. She is a hard-working, friendly woman. Along with her husband, she is raising their four children, ages 12, 10, 7, and the little one, age 3. They are her driving force and inspiration for continuing to improve every day.

She has a goal of making her business grow. She sells foods of primary necessity. She has a little grocery store, and in addition, they sell fried chicken, among other dishes that she offers and sells in the afternoons.

She is applying for her Kiva loan for the purchase of merchandise. She wants to invest in her grocery business in order to have a variety of products to offer her customers at a fair price.

With her extra earnings, she wants to invest and save to have a big business.
