Cynthia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy quality inputs, including certified seeds and fertilizers, in order to produce high quality veggies to sell in the market.

Cynthia's story

Cynthia is 61 years old and married. She lives with her husband in Vanduzi district, Manica Province.

Cynthia and her husband have 25 hectares of land that they have been farming for more than 20 years. Their main crops are fruits and vegetables. Cynthia also has a big shop where she sells her crops at a price lower than the market. Cynthia therefore has regular clients year-round. Because her farm is big, Cynthia needs workers to help her in sowing and harvesting time. Thus she helps young people in her community get employment and gain experience in agribusiness.

Cynthia wants to expand her production this season. She needs to buy a large amount of inputs like certified seed and fertilizer in order to ensure good quality crops. She will be planting lettuce, cabbage, eggplant, beet, etc and also fruits such as water-melon, mango, and orange. Cynthia is a very honest person. In the past she requested two kiva loans which repaid back on-time.

Cynthia needs to satisfy her clients demand, reason why she needs to produce high quality crops. For this reason, she is requesting her third kiva loan to buy quality inputs, including certified seeds and fertilizers, in order to produce high quality veggies to sell in the market.

This will be Cynthia's third Kiva loan, and she repaid her previous on time.
