Abelino's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizers and weed pesticides and to pay for manual labor for the harvesting of his coffee crop.

Abelino's story

Don Abelino is a 47-year-old man who is married and lives with his wife in the town of Gracias, Lempira, Honduras. For the past 6 years he has worked in agriculture, growing high quality coffee. He sells it in various forms, including dry, wet, and un-pulped, and he sells to intermediaries in the area.
He is asking for a loan from Kiva's field partner for the amount of 10,000 Lempiras (Honduran currency) in order to buy fertilizers, weed killer, and to pay for manual labor for harvesting the crop.
This loan will help him to maintain his business.
His goal is to be able to harvest an extra plot of coffee.
