A loan helped to buy more agricultural inputs to sell to smallholder farmers in her community.

Tiny's story

Tiny is a 41-year-old Mozambican woman. She is married and she lives in Chimoio, Manica Province, with her husband and their three children.

Tiny is a very hardworking and motivated woman. Together with her husband, Tiny runs a small inputs shop in her community where she distributes high quality seeds, pesticides and fertilizers to many smallholder farmers.

Tiny also provides technical assistance for many farmers who, sometimes, do not know what chemical to use to treat some plague. Due to this additional service, Tiny has gained the trust and respect of her clients.

Since the business is growing day after day, Tiny needs to acquire more inputs to sell in her shop in order to continuously address the community's needs. This is why she is requesting her first Kiva loan to buy more agricultural inputs to sell to smallholder farmers in her community.
