Winnie Qwoivire's story

Winnie Qwoivire lives in an urban area located about 15 minutes drive to Port Vila city. Her community is very small, and the main industry is agriculture. Due to the Covid-19, it has been difficult at times to earn a stable income. Winnie Qwoivire is 26 years of age and is a mother of one child who is six years old. She has her partner who is a carpenter. She lives with her partner and son in her grandparents home.

Winnie Qwoivire has requested a loan to purchase retail goods so she can stock up her retail shop and better provide for her customers. She has been in her business for two years now. Being able to provide for her community's basic needs and wants makes her happy. She will use her earnings to save up so she can pay for a piece of land for her family. This is Winnie Qwoivire's fourth loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She has faithfully paid back her previous loans. Through her loans, Winnie Qwoivire is empowered to expand her business so that she can better provide for her family.
