Grace's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more charcoal, lappa (traditional West African cloth), water and ingredients to prepare cooked food to sell.

Grace's story

This is 49-year-old Grace. She is single with 4 children, all of whom are presently in school and live at home. Grace attended school up to 12th grade.

Grace sells charcoal, cooked food, lappa (traditional West African cloth) and water. She has been managing her sales for 10 years and describes herself as a hardworking businesswoman. She started her sales using her own small savings. To maintain her sales, she applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia and field partner Kiva.

This loan will be used to buy more charcoal, lappa, water and ingredients to prepare cooked food to sell to her good clients. This will enable Grace to pay her loan installment and increase her income.

She likes her business because it helps support her family. She dreams of building her house in the future. She says thank you to all the lenders around the world.
