Ednah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and organic nutrient-rich fertilizers in order to improve the quality of her corn farm products.

Ednah's story

Ednah (52 years old) is the mother of nine school-going children whom she loves unconditionally. She is a hardworking woman who has many years of farming experience. She is a woman who is very determined and is not deterred by the ups and downs that she has been through in her life.

Through mixed dairy and crop farming, this enterprising mother is able to take care of the enormous demands of her family. She produces milk and crops for commercial purposes as opposed to many rural farmers who produce for subsistence.

Ednah dreams that through farming she will be able to pull away from poverty and see to it that all her children successfully complete their studies. She is a visionary and keen to ensure that she keeps progressing.

Unlike banks and other local money lenders that operate mainly in urban centres, Juhudi Kilimo (a Kiva field partner) has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, creating opportunities for different people to access loans. Ednah is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers.

Your loan will enable her to improve her corn crop production through the use of quality farm inputs. Through this intervention, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers. Kindly lend to a woman smallholder farmer to make her life meaningful.
