Emilly's Group's story

Pictured above is Emilly, she is 45 years old and has eight children. Emilly is often described as an extremely experienced farmer. She is a group leader representing 10 farmers in Teso District, Kenya.

Emilly is returning to work with One Acre Fund again this season as it enables her to earn enough to feed her family, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Emilly says that she is happy she made that decision because since joining in 2017, she has been able to save more money, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Emilly will use the profits from this season to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 10.25 acres.
