Lucyline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs, such as seeds and fertilizers, so that she can use the profits from her farm to support her children's education.

Lucyline's story

Lucyline (45) is a mother of three school-going children living in Chuka, a land of seemingly never-ending beauty that is endowed with beautiful streams and naturally flowing rivers. Lucyline is a dairy and crop farmer who wakes up very early to ensure that her family never lacks a thing.

Access to modern-quality farm inputs is the pillar of the agricultural revolution. However, in Kenya, a developing country, fertilizer and seed allocation by the government is way below the needs of farmers. Since Juhudi Kilimo, which is in partnership with Kiva, ventured into the affairs of smallholder farmers in Kenya, farmers can attest that there has been a significant improvement in input availability.

Lucyline has chosen to borrow this loan and buy inputs to improve her farm. The additional income she is anticipating will be used to improve her living conditions. Kindly be inspired!
