Prenda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making and also buy a misini fakapa tutu (a machine for beating hard mulberries for making tapas).

Prenda's story

This is Prenda. She is married with four kids, and they live at their own home.

Prenda runs a tapa making business. She has her own group of women, who perform their tapa making once a week at Prenda's veranda. There are twenty of them altogether, and many hands make the work easier and faster. Once a week they make more than ten tapas, then sell them to earn money for their families. Prenda also has the skills of designing tapas in specific ways, and some of the other women hire her to design their tapas. She also prepares soft tapas and sells them to the other women, because some of them do not have time during the week to prepare their soft tapa. Prenda also sells her tapas to trusted customers overseas, where there is demand for more than one tapa, and she makes sure that she meets the needs of her customers.

A loan will help Prenda buys plenty of mulberry for her business and also a misini fakapa tutu, a type of machine build to soften the hard mulberries instead of the person sitting down and hand beating the hard mulberries with tutua and ike.
