Amelia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more vegetable oil, palm oil, pepper and rice to sell.

Amelia's story

This is 42-year-old Amelia. She is married and has five children, three of whom are currently in school.

Amelia attended school up to ninth grade. She is a strong business woman who sells vegetable oil, palm oil, pepper and rice. Nine years ago, she started to sell in order to help her husband with some household expenses. She learned how to sell from her mother, and her brother gave her some funds to start the business.

She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site and sells six days a week, eight hours per day. To maintain her sales, Amelia requested a loan through BRAC Liberia and KIVA Field Partner.

This loan will be used to buy more vegetable oil, palm oil, pepper and rice to sell to her good clients. Amelia likes her business because sales are profitable. In the future, she wants to continue her children's education. Amelia wishes to say thanks.
