Saikolo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making business and also help with her children's school entrance requirements.

Saikolo's story

Meet Saikolo. She is the mother of three teenagers, and the wife of a farmer. They live in their own home in a two-bedroom house. Saikolo's wish is to build a new and bigger house for her family, for her teenagers are growing up and they need space for themselves.

Saikolo runs a business making tapas [patterned cloth made from the bark of the mulberry tree].She joins a group of tapa-making women in their church, and together they make tapas once a week. They make different sizes of tapas, then divide them among themselves.

Saikolo self-designs her tapas with traditional kupesi [stencils], then sells them to random customers, locally and also overseas. This loan money will help Saikolo solve her problem of needing mulberry, and will also enable her to complete her children's school entrance requirements.
