Familia Unida Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy thread, needles, and ingredients for making "chipas" [cheese rolls].

Familia Unida Group's story

The group called Familia Unida was formed between friends and neighbors from the city of Concepción, from an area that's fragile because of the presence of armed groups. Despite this, though, they don't give up and they look to improve themselves and get ahead.

Daniela is one of the members. She works selling crochet and making "chipas" [cheese rolls], a traditional Paraguayan food. She said her business is modest but that it has enabled her to be able to get her family ahead and give them a decent quality of life without the privations that she had to go through.

She's requesting this loan to buy thread, needles, and ingredients for making her chipas so she can continue working.

Note: Only three people appear in the photo but this is a group loan. The group photo wasn't possible because of social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
