Jane's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to optimize her production and make more income to support her family.

Jane's story

Jane is a 57-year old mother of two children living in Nyahururu, an area endowed with natural beauty. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has farmed for the past 20 years. Through farming, she has been able to meet her family’s enormous demands.

She is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to optimize her production and make more income to support her family.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs that have always skyrocketed.

To meet the high costs of inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions that sometimes impose very complicated procedures in loan distribution. Some farmers and especially women end up in hopelessness, despondency, and lack of morale to invest in agriculture.

Jane is looking forward to a year with success, thanks to your warm support.
