Janeth's story

Janeth, pictured inside her house, is a 38-year old mother living in Nakuru, a town that lies 1850 meters above sea levels on the highlands of Kenya. She enjoys temperate climates that favor coffee, wheat, barley, maize, beans and potatoes farming. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer with five years of farming experience. Janeth believes that through farming, she will be able to educate all her children.

Janeth is seeking this loan to buy farming essentials which she will use to improve her production and make more income to support her family. In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries and especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming.
Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and essentials which have always skyrocketed.

To meet the high costs of inputs, farmers, like Janeth, have been forced to borrow from financial institutions which sometimes impose very complicated procedures in loans distribution. Some farmers and especially women end up in hopelessness, despondency and lack of morale to invest in agriculture.

Be inspired to support Janeth with a loan today to ignite her hope of a successful year 2021.
