A loan helped to buy more piglets and pig feed to support her farm.

Mao's story

Mao is 52 years old, widowed and the mother of three children. She raises and sells pigs. Her husband is a construction worker. She has been running this business for 5 years.

Mao has applied for a 2,500,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy more piglets and pig feed to support her farm. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business and renovate her home.

Her main challenges are insufficient capital and dealing with pig disease.
