Maria Auxiliadora Group's story

The Maria Auxiliadora [Mary Help of Christians] group was formed by bringing together friends and neighbors from the city of Villarrica who are seeking a way to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in their second cycle of the women’s communal bank program.

One of the members, Concepción, is married and has two children. Through her work, she is seeking a way to give them a higher quality of life so that they will not have to do without any kind of necessities

Concepción sells meals. She states that her business has enabled her to provide for her family and to prevent them from suffering hardships.

Concepción is asking for this loan in order to purchase ingredients such as meat, baked goods, vegetables and condiments so that she can continue preparing meals.

Please note: Only one person appears in the photo although this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of the need to avoid crowds of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
