Mujeres Unidas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabric, thread, elastic and other products for her workshop.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

This group is in its 41st cycle. The members are enterprising women who have been working together for some time, and they all want to educate themselves and fight to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are also part of the poverty stoplight programme.

One member is Mirta, who is known for her constant work and dedication. She says that her family motivates her to keep fighting every day so that she can give them everything she didn't have. She works making clothes and has a modest workshop, where she works every day starting early in the morning, through which she has covered her family's needs.

She is requesting this loan to supply her workshop with fabric, thread, elastic and other products that she needs to keep working as before.

Note: The photo only shows one person, but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo, to avoid large gatherings of people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
