Washuuda Group's story

Madame Christine is a client of the Hekima IMF and oversees the village group Washuuda. She is married, aged 42 nd mother to 10 children, all of whom are in school. Her spouse is a mason.

She sells plastic shoes; she started this business 25 years ago with startup funds received from her husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and continued to grow it. With this new loan, she will stock up on plastic shoes, which will reinforce her initial stock. Her business is challenged by a lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue studying, and to continue to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to unbanked business owners during the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group leader due to respect for social distancing measures during COVID-19.
