Emaculate's story

Emaculate, a repeat Kiva borrower, is a hardworking mother living in Kerugoya, a land of seemingly never-ending beauty. She is a mixed farmer who has been farming for the past ten years. Through farming, she has made her life meaningful.

Emaculate is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use to improve her production and make more income to support her family.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, are in the front line in combating this pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs at this difficult period.

Emaculate is hopeful that Kiva lenders are going to respond positively to her loan request.
