Luz De La Esperanza Group's story

Aquiles is a humble and hard-working man and he is married. He has a convenience store, but he started off as a farmer. He saved up from the sales of his harvests and continues to work in agriculture. Little by little he move forward. His goal is to have the best convenience store in his community.

He invested his previous loan from Kiva to buy agricultural supplies for the last sowing season. He managed to get very good profits from his harvests. From those, he now has two freezers, which he uses to sell chicken, menudo and cold cuts.

He requests a new loan from Fundenuse, with Kiva funds, to invest it in his convenience store. He will use it to buy rice, sugar, beans, oil, toilet paper, soap, eggs, chicken, cold cuts, menudo, etc.

He is a member of the solidarity group Luz De La Esperanza, together with Jose, who sells clay ceramics, and Henry, who sells vegetables.
