217 La Juventud Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her clothing sales business.

217 La Juventud Group's story

The 217 La Juventud communal bank is part of the Copacabana Agency, which is made up of eight members who are friends, and it is led by a board of directors where Miriam is the president.

The loan that they will take out will benefit micro entrepreneurs, which includes Miriam. Currently, she has a business selling clothing (pants, jackets, sweaters) from a sales stall in Achacachi. She notes that she started this business on her own initiative three years ago.

The loan that she will now take will help increase capital to buy pants, jackets and sweaters in bulk from the wholesalers in the city of La Paz to then sell from her own stall. This form of work allows her to generate financial resources. She is 36 years old, married, and she has two children. Her goals are to grow her business to have a clothing store in Achacachi, to have a healthy life, and that her children become professionals.

Note: There are only three people in the photo due to the Covid-19 public health emergency. It is for this reason that all of the bank members are not in the photo, in order to avoid the grouping together of people.
