08-Kountoubou Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy peanuts, sugar and detergents to sell.

08-Kountoubou Group's story

The bank villageois was established in July 2012. It supports this group of 18 women who live in the same village. Their principle business activity to generate revenue is small-scale trade. They are dynamic and united. They help each other to have more autonomy in life.

Madame Niamo, 49 years old, represents the group. She is a widow and mother of two children and she takes care of six others. Due to Covid-19, and to reduce the risk of contamination, the other members are not in the picture. With her new loan, she plans to buy peanuts, sugar and detergents to resell. She has good experience in this area. She hopes to add to her savings and once the profits are realized, to take care of her personal needs and those of the children.
