08- Kountoubou Group's story

This group of 22 women live in the same village and have joined this 'banc villageois' since its establishment in July 2012. Their objective is to improve their living conditions through retail trade. Thus, the good cohesion that exists between them makes their activities progress each cycle. Ms. Coumba is 34 years old and is the group's representative. She is photographed alone to avoid direct contact with other members due to compliance with measures against the spread of the covid-19 virus. She is married and mother of 3 children. Her new loan will be used to buy baobab fruit, bissab and sugar to prepare ice cream and fruit juice and resell. She has some experience in this area. The profits will be used to support the education of her children and their well-being.
