Benkadi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sheep to resell as part of developing another business.

Benkadi Group's story

Bakary is holding the lead for the ram in his hand in the photo. Bakary is an ambitious farmer who would like to raise livestock as well. He is a Malian aged 41, who is married to two women and the father of seven children of whom four are in school. His wives are housekeepers.

He raises sheep and buys and sells his animals at the weekly fairs in his area. The business of raising animals is profitable for him because it allows him to cover the costs of school fees and to care for his children. After a sale, he should be able to have a profit of between 25 000 F and 50 000 F for six months.

However, he is often confronted with the illness and death of his animals despite the care of veterinarians. He has a dream to set up an area with fencing and to buy a water pump to do more garden marketing.
