Elizabeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy high-quality seeds, fertilizer and herbicide to improve her farm yield.

Elizabeth's story

When you take a closer look at Elizabeth, 30, you notice her bright face and also her contagious smile when she smiles. She is a smallholder woman farmer full of dreams and aspirations for her life. She resides in a remote village in the lush hills of Molo in the Rift Valley region of Kenya (a major tourist attraction site in Africa). She is very skillful and that explains why she feels happy doing what she does.

In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, thereby making the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today upgraded. On this note there is need to use improved farming inputs for effective production. These include high quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

As a knowledgeable farmer, Elizabeth has taken this loan to buy farm inputs such as high quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

This loan is therefore an opportunity that she never had before. Her irregular income and lack of collateral security were the main drawbacks limiting her from accessing a loan from commercial banks. Thanks to Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, the life of Elizabeth and her family will be changed through this loan.
