Raphael Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on 30 kg of fried fish to bolster her initial capital.

Raphael Group's story

Madam Jeanne is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the Raphael groupe villageoise.
She is single, 56 years old, with eleven children, three deceased, three attending school and the others married.

She sells fried fish and has been conducting this business since 1998 with start-up funds received from AGR. Later she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business and it has grown over time. With this new loan, she is going to stock up on 30 kg of fried fish to bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her business is related to the lack of customers.

Her goals are for her children to continue their education and to buy a plot and build there. In closing, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for the support they bring to non-bankable business owners, especially in the context of the COVID-19 global crisis. The photo shows only the group leader due to Covid-19 social distancing regulations.
