01_Keur Sega Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some fabric to make sheets and pagnes [colorful cloths popular in west Africa] to resell.

01_Keur Sega Group's story

This group, which is comprised of six bold and engaged women, makes up part of the Banc Villageois which was created in May, 2001. They live in the same village and share strong bonds of kinship and solidarity.

Madame Fatou, 54 years old, is the group's representative. She is standing on the right with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of nine children, including three daughters who are all married. One of the boys is a student and the others work. She is a seamstress. NOTE: One child is being held by its mother.

Madame Fatou operates a seamstress business and sells sheets and pagnes. She has 20 years of experience in this field. She plans to buy a number of cloths, some thread and lining, and to pay for transportation and other expenses. She is the only one in her vicinity that sells sheets and pagnes.

Her profits will allow her to strengthen her savings and take care of her clothing and grooming items, among other things.
