Shukrani Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy second-hand shoes in bulk, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Shukrani Group's story

Christine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and represents the village group "Shukrani". She is 52 years old, married and has three children. They all go to school. Her husband is unemployed.

Christine started selling second-hand shoes in 1990 with starting funds received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business and it grew progressively. With this new loan, she is going to purchase second-hand shoes in bulk, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is the lack of clients.

Christine would like to renovate her house and for her children to be able to continue their education. She wants to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non bankable business owners in this context of global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo only shows the group leader because of social distancing measures.
