Mukulumanya Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 10 crates of beer and Fanta [carbonated soft drink], which will strengthen her capital.

Mukulumanya Group's story

Margueritte is a borrower with Hekima IMF and chairs the village group “Mukulumanya”. She is 59 years old, widowed and a mother of 3 children who are all in school.

She sells beverages. She started this business in 1998 with start-up funds from her father. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program to get support for her business which has grown ever since. With this new loan, Jeanine will buy 10 crates of beer and Fanta [carbonated soft drink], which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge with her business is linked to unpaid debts from customers.

She would like to be able to feed her family and for her children to carry on studying. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to owners of non-bankable businesses in this context of the global crisis linked to Covid-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group because of Covid-19 social distancing measures.
