Rokhy Cisse's Group's story

This group of 14 women live in the same village. Most of them are parents. The group was formed 12 years ago. That in itself is sufficient to demonstrate the constancy and seriousness of purpose that energize these good ladies. Most of them are engaged in agriculture during the winter season and devote themselves to business during these periods. Their business revolves around peanut butter, millet, peanuts, and sometimes vegetables.

They draw on more than 15 years of experience, each in their own business. N'DEYE has been chosen as the representative of the group in this photo, due to the social distancing rules imposed on account of Covid-19.

She sells peanut butter made from her farm and has more than 10 years of experience doing this.

She sells her product at the weekly markets in her area.

She is married and the mother of 5 children and is also responsible for 7 other children.

The profits she makes from her business will be used to take care of her children's education and food and in some cases to buy cattle
