Gulzar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase land for farming.

Gulzar's story

Gulzar is a kind, young 29-year-old woman, married and raising a daughter. She works as a teller at a commercial bank. She has been farming since 2010. She has 4 cows, 15 sheep, and 1.3 ha of irrigated land, where she grows organic watermelons. In the winter she keeps her animals in a barn, and in the summer she puts them out to pasture in the mountains. She also sells organic milk. She has a greenhouse in her yard, where she grows organic produce: tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelons.

In order to further grow her farm, she has applied for a loan of 200,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank to rent a plot of land to plant organic watermelons. She plans to invest the income from the loan into growing her farm further and buying livestock.
