Yessica's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped cover the legal paperwork to become Panamanian citizen and be able to graduate high-school.

Yessica's story

Meet Yessica, an indigenous woman who was born in an Embera tribe on the Colombia side of the Panama-Colombia border. She is a strong leader and is currently the secretary of the local community bank. Even though she finished her last year of high-school in a public school in Panama, she can't graduate and get her diploma due to the fact that she is not a Panamanian legal citizen.

She fell in love with a Panamanian Embera indigenous man and has lived with him in the rural community of Pueblo Nuevo for over ten years. Yessica is known in her community for being kind, supporting her community and helping her neighbours when needed.

Today, she's asking for a loan to cover the legal fees and expenses of registering her marriage and becoming a Panamanian citizen. This will facilitate her ability to study and work in this country. Thanks for supporting Yessica, paving her path for residency in Panama and her future.
