La Asunción Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase seeds to re-plant her fields and plastic bags for packaging products.

La Asunción Group's story

The group called "La Asunción" is in its tenth cycle as a program for women. Each one of the members of the committee is looking to support their families and their homes. They don't want their families to lack anything so they work united and in solidarity.

Juana is one of these women. She is known for her enthusiasm and her desire to overcome difficulties. She has not let her visual impairment stand in her way. She learned how to run a horticulture business and grows lettuce, tomatoes, locotos, and pumpkins. She plants and harvests the crops herself. She says that this work is going well and she has a loyal clientele that always purchases from her.

She is asking for this loan to purchase seeds to replant her fields and plastic bags to package her goods. She is grateful for the opportunity to invest in her business and hopes it will be helpful.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but the loan is a group loan. The group couldn't gather for a group photo due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
