Félix's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more maize from smallholder farmers in his community to sell in the market in order to increase his family's income.

Félix's story

Félix is a 48-year-old Mozambican man. He lives in Barue, Manica Province with his family.

Félix has worked in agriculture since he was young. He learned with his parents the best practices for agriculture.

Together with his family, Félix grows cereals such as maize and soy beans to sell in the market. Thanks to this activity, Félix is able to address his family needs.

In his previous loan, Félix went through many social challenges that caused him to become delinquent. However, last year he attended a training about finance education and business planning in order to help him to be better prepared to manage his business. Félix is confident and highly motivated after this training.

Considering his potential and a huge market yet to explore in his community, Félix is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more maize from smallholder farmers in his community to sell in the market in order to increase his family's income.
