Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

Gloria is 56 years old. She is a small-business woman who earns her living selling used clothing.

Gloria started out selling in neighboring communities five years ago with her spouse. She currently makes her sales from her home. She takes the garments that she can't sell to other people in the countryside to make sales there. She does have other income from remittances sent by family living abroad.

Gloria's future plan to is keep working and improving her business. She also wants to make improvements to her home. She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds so she can purchase two bundles of second-hand clothing.

Gloria belongs to the “Mujeres emprendedoras” (Enterprising Women) communal bank together with Heidy, who earns her living with a used-clothing business; Keyla who earns her living as a seamstress; and Nora who sells cosmetics.
