A loan helped to buy farming inputs to improve production.

Gladys's story

Gladys is a 42-year old mother living in Kapsowar, a town that was significantly stuck by the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis when violence occurred in Kenya. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has always injected passion and enthusiasm into her work.

Gladys is seeking a loan to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to improve her production and make more income to support her family. Modern farming requires the use of modern techniques, and high-quality seeds will ensure a bumper harvest and increased profits. Gladys is very forward-looking, and her goal for the season is to boost her crop production. All of this can be achieved through lenders’ help and goodwill. Supporting her with a loan will be key in facing the financial crisis brought on about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
