Neema Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 10 sacks of corn and cassava flour, and to increase her initial working capital.

Neema Group's story

Mrs. Laheli is a client of the Hekima MFI and the leader of the Neema "banc villageois". She is a 54 year old married woman with 9 children who are all in school. Her partner is a retailer.

She started a business selling flour seven years ago with start-up funds from her husband. Later on she used the Hekima program to support her business which has grown progressively. With this new loan, she will buy 10 sacks of corn and cassava flour, which will help her increase her initial working capital. The main obstacle she is facing is a shortage of customers.

She wants her children to continue their schooling and also to feed her family. She thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who cannot access bank funding in this context of the global crisis resulting from the Covid-19 virus. The picture only shows the leader of the group due to compliance with Covid-19 social distancing measures.
