Maxima Lorenza's story

Maxima Lorenza and her family live in La Sequita de Montecristi, a canton known for the famous “toquilla” (a palmetto-like plant) straw hats that are appreciated both inside and outside the country. Its inhabitants are also farmers.

Maxima Lorenza makes a living raising free-range chickens and pigs at home. She raises them until they are big and fat, and then sell them at a good price. She sells them to merchants who come to her house. She also sells the eggs that her hens give her and with this she makes extra income.

The health crisis at first hit her very bad since she could not sell, but now little by little she is reactivating her business in order to continue generating her income.

This loan is to buy corn, small chickens, balanced feed, vitamins, drinkers, etc. Her dream is to have a larger free-range chickens farm and that her family is very healthy.
