Roda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more stock for the store like canned goods, noodles, seasonings, snack foods, drinks and toiletries; she will also buy seeds and fertilizer.

Roda's story

Roda is from Lemery, Iloilo. She is 39 years old, married and has two dependents. She runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities to earn an income. She has been in this business for many years. Aside from this, she and her husband also run a small family farm where they grow corn plants.

Now, she asks for a loan of PHP 35,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines, which she will use to buy more stock for the store like canned goods, noodles, seasonings, snack foods, drinks and toiletries. Another part of this loan will be used to buy seeds and fertilizer.

Roda wants to augment their livelihood in the future for a better means of living.
