Janeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her cane crop production.

Janeth's story

Janeth is a 59-year-old mother of 4 school-going children and lives in Kericho. This is a place where every Kiva lender would like to be. The climate is beautiful and it is possible to observe the Great Rift valley escarpment and other staggering hills in the region.

Janeth is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has farmed for the past few years, enabling her to be able to support her family. The major impediment to the development of smallholder farms in Kenya is a lack of short-term credit facilities.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya through financing, therefore guaranteeing their survival.

Janeth is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her cane crop production and make more income to support her family.

Support her at this time when the world is focused on combating the Covid-19 pandemic.
