Marivic's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy grocery items, such as toiletries, noodles, eggs, seasonings, snack foods and drinks, as well as to buy fishing net and an engine for their fishing boat.

Marivic's story

Marivic lives in Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 38 years old and has two dependents. To earn an income, she and her family work in fishing. They have been in this livelihood for many years. Aside from fishing, she also runs a small store for additional income.

Now she is asking for a loan of 25,000 PHP through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy grocery items, such as toiletries, noodles, eggs, seasonings, snack foods and drinks. The rest will be used to buy fishing net and an engine for their fishing boat.

Marivic wants to improve her livelihood in the future for her children’s education.
