Risper's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use to optimize her crop production and earn more income to support her family during this tough global economic recession.

Risper's story

Risper is 28-years old and lives in Kapsowar, a town that was significantly struck by the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis when violence occurred in Kenya. She is an experienced farmer who has been farming for the past ten years. Thanks to her determination and perseverance, she has turned her life around.

Risper has always focused on giving her family a better life. She is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use to optimize her crop production and earn more income to support her family during this tough global economic recession.

Unlike most microfinances in Kenya that have imposed very complicated procedures in funds acquisition thereby discouraging smallholder farmers, Juhudi Kilimo is working closely with Kiva to make loan acquisition for a smallholder farmer easy and convenient.

Risper is hopeful that Kiva lenders will be inspired to support her with a loan this day.
