Viola's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cereals to resell so that she can make more profit to support her family during this global health crisis.

Viola's story

Viola is a 33-year-old single mother living in Eldoret, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands which favour large-scale grain farming, dairy and horticultural farming. Viola enjoys making profit through mixed dairy and crop farming. She is also a cereal trader. Through these ventures, she has made tremendous growth in her life.

Viola is seeking this loan to buy more cereals to resell so that she can make more profit to support her family during this global health crisis.

Unlike banks and other local money lenders who operate mainly in urban centres, Juhudi Kilimo (a Kiva field partner) has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, creating opportunities to different people to access loans.

Viola is hopeful that Kiva lenders will respond positively to her loan request, and she has thanked her lenders in advance.
