A loan helped to purchase handicrafts, paint, and ceramics.

María Lourdes's story

María Lourdes and her family live in La Pila de Montecristi, a very well-known place in the province and in the country for its rich traditional culture. However, this area has been greatly affected by the impact of COVID-19 on the economy, as well as the loss of lives.

She is a hard-working woman who tries to earn her own resources and thus help her husband get their household ahead. She is achieving this thanks to the loans that allow her to go on despite the crisis they are facing because of how much the pandemic is still affecting them.

She makes a living selling handicrafts. She buys unpainted pieces from local artisans, then she gives them the necessary finishing touches and sells them to passers-by. Currently, her sales are starting to improve after not being able to make sales for a long time.

This loan will be used to purchase handicrafts, paint, and ceramics. She hopes to be able to continue counting on the help of these loans.
