A loan helped to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to improve her farm production, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Evalyn's story

Evalyn is a 45-year-old mother of five who is determined to paint a beautiful picture of her future. She lives in Siongiroi, a town that hosts a number of elite athletes in Kenya. She is a mixed farmer with 10 years of farming experience. Through farming, Evalyn has turned her life around.

The major impediment to the development of smallhold farms in Kenya is the lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support small holder farmers in Kenya through financing, therefore guaranteeing their survival. Evalyn is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs that she plans to use to improve her farm production, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kindly support Evalyn in this first quarter of 2021.
