Unión Y Fuerza Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn, oil, corn meal, coffee, spices, seasonings, firewood, lime, etc.

Unión Y Fuerza Group's story

Dora is 56 years old, the single mother of one child, and she has made and sold tortillas for the last 18 years.

With the previous Kiva loan she was able to buy raw materials at cash prices which facilitated an increase in her income. Now her businesses have greater financial stability.

She has applied for a new loan through Fundenuse with Kiva funds for the purchase of raw materials such as corn, oil, corn meal, coffee, spices, seasonings, firewood, and lime. She belongs to the the solidarity group "Unión y Fuerza” [Strength and Unity] together with Maria, who makes fried food, 'nacatamales' [stuffed tortillas], and tortillas; and Nubia, who makes fried foods and tortillas.

All of the women share the same goal which is to expand their business and to be financially independent. They are grateful to Fundenuse and to Kiva for the opportunity and the trust extended to them, and they hope to always rely on your support until they achieve their proposed objectives.
