A loan helped to hire a transport means that she will use in transporting her perishable products to the market.

Diana's story

Meet Diana, a first time Kiva borrower. She is a 31-year-old mother of 2 school going kids living in Meru, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands which favor large-scale grain farming and dairy farming.

She has been a mixed dairy and crop farmer for the past few years.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is on the front line in combating this pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs in this difficult period.

Diana is seeking this loan to hire a transport means that she will use in transporting her perishable products to the market such as milk and vegetables that require timely delivery to the market. Through the loan her farm products will fetch a high price.

Support her at this time when the world is focused on combating the Covid-19 pandemic.
