Makimbilio Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase flour, oil, and sugar to strengthen her initial capital.

Makimbilio Group's story

Madame Elysee is a client of the MFI Hekima and leads the village group Makimbilio. She is 41 years old, married, and the mother of eight children. Four are in school, two are babies, and two are adults. Her partner is a government official.

She sells various items in her shop. She started this business 11 years ago with startup funding she received from her husband. Later on she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and over time she has made gradual progress. With this new loan, she will purchase flour, oil, and sugar to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is related to unpaid debts.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and would like to pay her rent. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and their partners for their support of non-bankable businesses during the Covid-19 global crisis. The photo is of the group leader only to comply with social distancing measures due to Covid-19.
